Check out the new tile in the clubhouse (and the newly replaced wooden floor in the billiards room)!
Why was this done? Well, as has happened in the past, the condensate water generated by air conditioning in the club house backed up in a drain line (this was only a matter of days after servicing!). A couple of “fail safes” to prevent that had failed, and new ones are approved to go into place soon. The water ran UNDER the wooden floors, causing swelling and distortion. A drying service was called in to avoid mold in the future. Why tile? There was not enough matching wood to re-do the hallway, and in any regard, tile should be able to tolerate any future such issues! Below are some pictures of the “design flaw” which is cause of the flooding.
